The New Us...
HTG, High Technology Group ...

Entek Teknik and Mikrosay are now members of the newly established HTG, High Technology Group.

Industrial and real time data processing are the lines Mikrosay specializes  on. Related with Turkey’s main targets in software, Mikrosay developed a strategy which was supported by Tubitak / Tideb ( Turkish National Research and Development Institute ) and, in the end, a TEOS SCADA program was developed in 1996. From this time on, about 1500 programs have been installed directly for end users, supplied to system integrators, and provided to machine manufacturers.

With this success, TEOS has received several awards. With continuous support from its market and brandishing a reputation for adapting to new operating systems, TEOS has been accepted by all sectors.

Tank Management System is another TEOS Scada application developed for tank farms. It provides users the ability to visualize tanks parameters and to manage operations safely and efficiently in time. Combining comprehensive process capability, ease of use, powerful calculating techniques ( API Standards are embedded), and real-time communication, it is a complete solution to measure precisely the level and mass of valuable products such as petroleum and chemicals in all conditions. It enables users to integrate all major types of tank level measurement instruments, including float, radar, servo, hydrostatic, and magnetorestrictive tank gauges, into one system.

Mikrosay’s R & D support policy gave us the courage to invest in foreign markets in order to export group capabilities including hardware and software. Therefore, Entek Controls ( Mikrosay Inc.) was established in Los Angeles and, with its initial success in this market, the decision has been made to open another office in San Francisco concentrating only on marketing and sales.

Our R & D group has begun to apply a new approach by sharing and developing new applications with different partners in different sectors and has experienced success as a result, including online invoicing for customers seeking V.A.T. refunds with the Leather Export Trade Federation. Also a web portal has been established for this group for sharing general information and communicating with members.

RFID Application ...
.

Mikrosay, a member of the HTG Group, is going to attend an RFID Applications seminar that will be held by ITU, the Istanbul Technical University, on Oct., 12, 2006. In this seminar, the latest developments in RFID, Radio Frequency Identification, will be discussed.

Mikrosay will have three separate projects displayed in the exhibition area:

The first project involves special feeders for cattle farms. Using Mikrosay’s TEOS Scada software, cattle with an RFID tag will get their food individualized according to their weight and special needs. When a cow arrives at the food dispenser, the information written on the tag will be recognized and a special amount/mixture of food will be dispensed from the feeder for that specific animal.

This is a new way of handling the individual needs of cattle without wasting unnecessary amounts of food which, in turn, reduces costs.

The second project is regarding the control of material in warehouses.

The RFID tagged material can be counted automatically and correctly by the assembled mechanism during the shipment process.  The information is entered into the system to assure the correctness of the requested supply and the shipped material. This information will include the type and the amount of material that is prepared to be shipped.  A second RFIS reading will be made at the exit to avoid mishandling of shipments.

The third project is about using TEOS Scada software to automate the controlled material recognition, selection and delivery to a defined area.  In the exhibition area, we are using a toy crane which will pick the RFID tagged material, and take it to the reader to recognize the programmed information. When the reader recognizes this information, the crane will carry it to the defined area via the guidance of TEOS Scada software.
